    Hey all,

I have a site that provides users the ability to search for an available domain name.

I want to monetize this as efficiently as possible and wanted to see what others have done or would do with this type of user. I will also be reselling hosting.

Any advice, suggestions, help at all, is greatly appreciated.

    Thanks~

The reselling hosting we talked about comes with a domain reseller account and a domain availability checker/registration system in WHMCS so you could just integrate to that, redirect them to that, etc.

Of course, that involves integrating with an existing system and could bring you many hours of work to integrate the templates seamlessly so as not to hurt conversion or bounce. Your other option involves using OpenSRS (your domain reseller account) API to build your own system. Depends on which is easiest for you.

Perfect! Web Host Manager - I'm off to Google to read some more about that.

LOL, I was going to ask you, figured I should have.

Make sure you do WHMCS and not WHM. ;) WHMCS controls most of the online purchasing aspects. WHM just lets you control your actual server. And you may want to look into the OpenSRS API if you want a custom system, or OpenSRS in general for reselling info.
