Users post the same offers all the time just to be in the daily newsletter...Any solution?

    Hi All,

    I am working with a b2b membership site and we have a daily newsletter where we list the fresh offers in our system.
    Users seems to find a way to abuse this system and they delete their offers then post them again just to be in the newsletter. This is forbidden in our TOS.

    There are some really creative people here. :)
    Do You have any suggestions to solve this?

    Would threatening them help? If they aren't abiding by your TOS, then ban them. Make sure you put in your TOS that all membership dues will be forfeited in the event of not following terms of service.

    What kind of B2B do you have? I may be interested. :D

    Hi,

    Thanks for the suggestions. We already thought about this.
    We also thought about restructuring the newsletter, but it is hard to do without draining value from our genuine members.
    We also thought about creating a metric for this, which checks the offer name, detailed description, preferences, and image name.

    It is a B2B marketplace like Alibaba, just better in an eastern european market! :D
    But we plan to release our new system in the first quarter of 2012 which will be available in english too.
    What are You interested in exactly? :)

    I'm interested in getting my name out to wholesale buyers as a supplier. I have tons of things I sell. Almost everything high end. Everything is 100% authentic.

    limit the number of offers 1 user can post. That will stop them from abusing the service

    Thanks for the suggestion. We thought about limiting the number of offers a user can post. We also thought about limiting the number of offers a user can post for free, then for every offer the user would need to send an SMS or pay by credit card or paypal to make the offer public.
    Still thinking about this, so we are open for more suggestions.
