High ranking backlinks, Search engines view edu as generally having higher ranking than ordinary .com extensions.

Thanks for TheDorf and Saintjaq999.If we combined both the search terms, its mind blowing.I haven't checked which comment systems are using.But definately a good start to make a dent in .edu links.

I've started a ton of blogs from my college. Honestly i have a site that i built up about 50 quality backlinks from pr2-pr5 sites all related to my niche.

Then i start a small blog on the college site and it outranks my actual site for about 2 weeks. Rediculous
 
I think you can find EDU links by follow links that commented on EDU blogs. This is an easy to find EDU blogs. I tried to use this way. And got some nice high PR EDU blogs with dofollo attribution.
