Go to Craigslist in the used auto parts section. Buy some various money making parts such as: headlights, sensors, computers, air bags, etc. Better yet, find cars that are parted out and work some deals. Or buy a $300 car and part out. Sell on ebay! Cha-ching!

Any proof or blueprint of how you profit with this?

This works and many people do it, but it might take a lot of time to sell some parts..

Some old cars that you can buy for $500 are worth $3000 when broken into parts. However it's not exactly viable to randomly break up cars on your driveway unless you really want to impress the neighbours ! You will also have a shell and a hunk of stuff left over to dispose of when you are finished.

It's a good business but you really need to have premises and a minimum of ten cars. Specialising in one particular make or model is always a good plan. You also want to check out local environmental laws, in some countries you will need an ELV license.

That is a good business and I have done this some. I do not get my hands dirty but when I can find a
decent deal on some parts I will talk down the owners and resale them for more money. Make sure you
have a place to store auto parts though.

I do this I've found the most profitable parts and go to 7 of the closest junk yards in a 45 mile radius and buy them and resell them on eBay and I sell at a 200% - 350% after fees. If you want to get started, locate your local pull-a-part junkyard and get a feel for prices with things such as headlights, bumpers, and other exterior plastic parts. If you feel things are going to be profitable, show up with a truck and load your bed up with parts. If you are crafty and can be quick about it, bring a sawzall and cut off quarter panels but I wouldn't pay more than $10.00 for a side. Another really profitable thing is actually glass like windows and stuff. Any more than that then it isn't really worth it but its more than they would get for it if it were scraped. Then fill up with interior parts such as visors, center consoles, arm rests, carpets if its in good condition, etc. Stuff like engines and transmissions I wouldn't mess with unless it was a mid 90's non-domestic and you got a good price on it but there are high refund/dispute rates on things like these no matter what. Also, clean your parts and do Not use manufacturers or other peoples' photos. Then when you pass back through, give them a list of everything you picked up and they will see a lot of plastics and give you a really good price because plastic usually isn't worth that much to them. So something like plastic speaker covers that go on doors, I'll get for free and sell on eBay for $10-$15 after fees.

The scrap business has totally drove up the price of auto parts, even for resellers such as myself so year by year it gets less profitable. Most people can't stay in the game, I now buy cars at auction nobody else wants but I'm spending $800 on non-running cars that are profitable, most $400 cars aren't worth much to me and the vulture bidders and illegal car lots scoop those up really quick. I just scrap shells by cutting them up about every 8 or 9 cars.

If you go cars, go Corvette.
If you want to make more money than cars, go Harley Davidson
And buy them wreck from insurance company online (bid). Disregard what's broken and sell what's not.

Yeah all of it works especially the flyers. I have worked on a offline campaign onetime that included
flyers buying junk cars and motorcycles. Made some pretty good cash to.

The more parts that you list on ebay the faster the sell. If you have around 100 or so parts listed you will sell stuff most every day. Many times I have bought a part for $5-$10 and made $50 or more on them. One of the ones are 1990's mustang cassette player...sold it for $100 or more.

These spare parts have been selling out on eBay for a very long time. These are the products selling the most on eBay. and they have a really good marketing rating over the cars market.

Really concentrate on those small interior items. I know I have sold some parts to a Porsche and made good
    money at it.

Very true. U can also look at completed listings after you sign into ebay and look at all the recent parts that have been sold. These are the ones u want to find and post. Also it tells you how much they sold for!

Very true. Trunk tool kits sell for good money. Spare tires. Even manuals sell for good money. Especially in luxury cars. I bought a Mercedes "pet net" for $15 bux and sold it for $100. Do the math on that profit zone.
