Okay so here is my question

I've created an HTML template for ads that I post for a customer... The design of the ad is the same for all the products except the only details that change are the item descriptions

is there a way to use excel so I can enter in the product description into a worksheet and have it output that data and create my full template?

Like replace the data in the html file with excel variables and have excel output the spreadsheet variables to a seperate html template? It would make my ad posting / creating so much easier.

I am not sure if Excel can output to html file but I can create html page within Excel which you can then copy to notepad or ad site.

So in Excel you will have two sheet

Sheet No 1 - Blank Template
Sheet No 2 - Excel Variable which feed into first sheet

When you change the variables in Sheet 2, Sheet 1 is updated which then you can copy.

If you want to send me copy of your html template and Excel variable then I'll give it my best try ( Free ofcourse)

    Thanks

if you know php, this is a piece of piss. I build vertical niche
    directories using this exact method.

If you don't get a solution, I'll knock out a bit of code for you.

LOL .. before I discovered PHP Content Management Systems, I used to use Excel to generate various templates!!

Excel cannot do this with simple Functions. You might be able to with some extremely advanced VBA Coding - but, as it stands - get yourself over to the PHP Tutorials!!! It will help you A LOT in the future ...
