    I have done a bit of Keyword Research on a certain keyword and think that I can come in the top 3. I am setting up a autoblog with Blogger and was wondering if I would get ranked in google for it?

    If I can, then would I need to bookmark on sites like Reddit etc.?

    Anyhelp is appreciated

    That all depends on the level of competition that's on page 1 for our keyword.

    You will need to do more than just bookmarking to promote it.

    What other ways should I promote my blog? Only way I know is Bookmarking and I do not want to do PPC atm as I do not have the money for it.

    There are tons.

    Articles, web 2.0, video, RSS....the list can go on. You should do some research and prepare yourself if you are serious.

    Under what criteria did you decide you think you can get into the top 3? Before you can decide this you need to have some idea how many backlinks you are going to need bro... I recomend researching SEO a bit more. Blogger can rank with google, but it depends on how much competition there is on the front page.

    Be careful with blogger. I had a solid blogger blog up in a non-spammy niche (offline business promotion) and they banned my site 2 days ago. It was up for 6+ months, ranked well, and had all unique hand-written content. They deleted it because it was a "spam blog" which, one of their definitions for was promotional means via only linking to one site (my site), however, I had links to other resources, wikipedia, how-to articles for my blog, etc. I even requested a manual review of my site and they said piss off then made me PVA the gmail account associated with that blog. All white-hat blog, white-hat site, only bookmarked it and wrote a few properties linking to it... just hurts to get something i'd been working on for a while stripped away like that, so don't rely on a blogger blog too much.

    This is a great point.

    In the long term, you definitely want to put your stuff on your own domains.

    Did you remove the Blogger NavBar?

    Prob did that because you were actually getting successful at it. Google does not like to pay out or see success, they ban your ass. They are the only ones that can be successful. At times, I think they are happier with 1bil junk blogs that get 1 hit a day than people who actually work to make the blog successful. If its not some hippie crap free love global warming bullshit blog, they think its spam. God forbid you actually use it to make money!

    Yukinari: Nope, I left it as the default theme and everything; didn't remove/edit anything about the blog except added a feedjit traffic widget; that's it. Other than that I just wrote articles myself and linked them to my site/wikis/niche related how-tos, etc. Big bummer, especially the slap in the face of making me PVA my gmail account (since it was a legit blog I used my legitimate email associated with my business)

    I have found that removing the Nav Bar drastically decreases my chances of getting blogs deleted. I have tested this thoroughly. It's not 100% perfect, but it does help a lot.

    I think the one of the reasons why is that people - whether your competition or just plain assholes - do come along and flag blogs.

    Removing the Nav Bar takes this chance away from them.

    Anyone looking to remove the blogger toolbar, it's easy.
    Go into the blog settings, layout, click Edit HTML
    do a search for ]]>
    add
    Code:
    #navbar { display: none; }
    above that. Thanks again for the tip

    I prefer to use an iframe. This actually hides the Nav Bar from readers, but Blogger will still see it. I don't think it's against their TOS to take away the Nav Bar, but I just prefer it.

    Code:
    #navbar-iframe { display: none !important; }
