    Hey guys,

two of my micro niche sites only rank high in the us search results of big G. But in the search results of the area i want to target (germany) i'm somewhere in the 150s.

Hosting is by HG, Domains are an exact match (one is a net one is a de)
The competition is very very weak. I did a few backlink blasts, social bookmarks, article links etc. That should be enough to get me to #1. I changed the geographic target location in the webmaster tools to Germany and the language of my websites to german aswell. The whole content is in german, too.

    What else can i do?

Do you have only international links?

If so do you have only international links that donĀ“t have german backlinks?

    It's mixed.

I'd say it's about 60-70% german backlinks (blog commetns, social bookmark), 30-40% english backlinks (some article directores, social bookmarks, some blog comments)

Well, maybe it just takes time, but patience is not my strongest trait, lol.

hmm not sure if this will be helpful, but have you thought about using a server located in Germany? Sites seemingly rank higher within their respective country. <<<Speculation, don't hold me to this.

Yea, i did.. but it's just a tiny part of the equation. I spoke with a few guys who rank #1-3 for their keyword with hosting in the US or UK.

Well i climbed up into 120s today, maybe things are starting to turn out the way i want it.. :p

    are you sure?
Problem with hosting in germany is... linkblasts + german hosting could make you legal problems in germany.

I have some german sites, too and decided to host outside of germany.

What do you think is the effect of doing that and why does it make a difference?

Is your site written in German? At least here in Norway sites using my native langue is getting crazy ranking advantages.

Did you checked what is indexed?
Of course the links from the US article directories/social bookmarks have way much more authority and PR => they get indexed first

    Stop spreading nonsense please.
This problem is complex enough without spreading myths about SEO.
There can be a few causes to this, but it's quite rare :
    - more competition on the keyword in Germany than in USA
    - too much US links, not enough German links (not sure it really matters)
    Or a combination of both.

What could also have happened, it happened to me for France, is that you get Sandboxed on local google and not international google.

I was #3 for my keyword in google USA, and disappeared from Google France.
    Maybe that happened.

Anyway, hosting location doesn't matter, what matters is hosting quality. Fast loading servers in USA, Uruguay, Kazakhstan, Georgia or anywhere else will always beat bad servers in any country.

    Nuf' said.

Well i did a few german social bookmarks the last few days, but they're not indexed yet, pinged them already and blasted the url's via scrapebox to a few german and US blogs.

And as i mentioned, the competition is really really weak (none of the pages have full onpage seo, none of the top 10 sites have a PR above 1, none of the top 10 have more than 30 backlinks and only one (the #1) of them has an exact domain match)

I though this would be much easier, as i outrank the sites in googlecom already, but not in googlede ...

Yes, I'm now at #37 in the german SERPs (still #1 in the googlecom search results), so a big climb in the last few days (without building any new backlinks, i did a few german social bookmarks though)...

i will do a few blasts to my social bookmarks and if that doesnt bring me up in the top 10, ill blast directly to my money site. :D

    Quick update:

Both sites are ranking on page 1 for their keyword on googlede... one of them at spot #1 :p

p.s. all done with direct blasts to money site (only small though 3-400links/week)

Yip, Scrapebox only to Auto-Approved Blogs that are not spammed to death yet + created a few social bookmarks and web 2.0 properties manually.

Right now around 30% of the backlinks are indexed - meaning 60-70% are not crawled yet..
