The best way to defeat them is to set up overseas companies and stop paying taxes to the U.S. government,in a legal way. No money to enforce the laws, you can do whatever you want.

QFT, Starve the beast to slay the beast. The feds see the anonymity and virtual public domain/fair use atmosphere of the net as the main threat to its jackboot power. They also think every expression of anonymity should be associated with criminality and outlawed, such that over time even the social memory of having freedom can be extinguished. They think wrong. The fastest way to bring a tyranny down is to make it openly act like one. The US regime is looking pretty naked right now.

This bill is set up to stop the moving of funds to your offshore accounts. Even if you go to another country they can halt all your payments if there are any US companies/payment processors/banks involved.

Who reads the TOS? Just click check and move to what you need to do. Could the administration come up with anymore crazy tactics to keep people's eyes off the jobs situation?

Read a lot about that yesterday and it looks pretty ugly if the case OP mentions becomes law. Also extradition requests are becoming quite common (often based on shaky legal ground and NOT specifically referring to WL...) so I'd say that simply opening an offshore company is a sort of quick fix only if you operate on a small size.

What's happening during these days doesn't look good at all on several fronts.

    *facepalm*

I meant setting up double irish companies for local businesses. If each of us does this for businesses where we live we will start taking away tax revenue from the U.S. government

GOOGLE,APPLE,GE all use the double Irish.

Once again the Government trying to control everything. This is especially scary for people that post in bulk on Craigslist. These laws do nothing but stunt economic growth.

I read about this story earlier, and I think it is getting a bit of Internet Spin. But, because of the vague language in the bill it could be completely abused.

I am sure it is only a matter of time before the Government figures a way to close that loophole.

Did some research on this, seems there were a couple of bills like this introduced to congress this year that went nowhere afterwards.

This bill, politically, would be a very dangerous bill to vote on, particularly because so many voters (esp. young voters and a growing segment of middle age voters) are now using the internet more and more nowadays.

It would be a huge blow to the Obama Admin. if he signs it into law, and because of that, I don't think this will go down anytime soon. Reason being because a VERY large segment of his voter base would oppose something like this (see what happend to the XL pipeline for an example). Whether the RIAA and other company's like it or not.

Voting on something as controversial as this would put some campaigns (esp. in blue states) in very compromising positions, esp. with the potential to spin this in the media in sooooo many ways. I don't see this getting pass the house, IF THAT. I'd be surprised if it does!

Theres also a petition on the whitehouse site that has some 35,000 signatures (they were only asking for 25,000) to date. So again, I don't know if this bill will pass as is.

    Sooo...
    1. Buy bitcoins with your funds, then use the bitcoins to buy funds in offshore accounts or processors. Bitcoins are not a US third party money transmittal service, it's a direct transaction between individuals, and can't be blocked. So no US companies need be involved in the transfer.

    2. Get a European debit card (eg, see one sold on avsvcc.net). Get a non US passport or two (those that just work for bank ID purposes are sufficient). Get an offshore maildrop, create non US based online processor accounts based on that address. Move/hold your money at the offshore source.

    3. Send the IRS a notice of pseudonym document that affirms your right to use pseudonym identities in accounts for financial purposes (14th Amendment, etc). Send by certified mail, with certificate of service (a statement where a witness confirms what was specifically sent). Once that is submitted, your activity is not actionable under law. An example of such a document is at:
