    Hello

Unfortunately the US dollar is still dropping and who knows how much more it will drop. What can I buy to keep my money's value? How does gold or platinum sound? do they keep their value more than the US dollar?

    Best Regards!

The US complains that the Chinese currency is undervalued (The Chinese are trying to keep their exports cheap). This of course gives me the idea that eventually the Chinese will have to adjust their currency upwards.
Buy some mutual funds that buy shares denominated in Renminbi.

Europe seems to recover more slowly than the US. Hence, the EURO might not be as strong in the long run as it is right now.

Gold, silver, platinum or palladium. I try to keep between 10 to 15 % of my assets in precious metals. Not gold stocks or any of that paper shit either. The real stuff, locked in a safe in my house.

Gold is a good shout at the moment - although I think its growth will slow as the recession slows down.

Best bet is always property though - can't go wrong really

real estate is the safest investment in America if you do your homework on the buy first.

Actually, the dollar might appreciate in value relative to the other currencies like the EUR and the Yuan/ren min bi. Europe has big problems with it's members and probably will have more problems similar to the Greece crisis that happened last month. China on the other hand might just continue to manipulate their currency and depreciate/devaluate their currency relative to the USD to further strengthen their exports. George Soros even stated that the safest currency to hold this year is the USD. Precious metals aren't always the safest bets like mentioned above...it depends on the economic environment, but I think this year is still a good year to hold some precious metals or some oil contracts...

You should never invest everything in Gold or any other precious metals. Also try other areas like real estate you will get good rewards.
