US cracks down on online film piracy

    US officials have shut down nine websites accused of offering free access to films, including Toy Story 3..

    They only took the domains but not the servers, so almost all the sites are up again with other domains registered and hosted outside the US and they can't do a thing to take them down again lol.

    I cant believe this made the news. The first result for the terms I use to find movies was the one with the DMC notice on it. The 2nd result in google was their new site. They have been doing this back and forth for like 3 years now.

    They can never stop them, but I'm sure that this will scare off people monetizing tv sites

    I think that with the 'we will follow' statement... they are just trying to scare people.. they cant actually do anything if the servers and domains are registered offshore.
