I want to take a long ugly affiliate link and make it into a more belivable one ei: "http://blackhatworld.com/forums" rather than:

    http://www.blackhatworld.com/blackhat-seo/newthread.php?do=newthread&f=2

I know there are alot of URL shortening sites out there but I dont want it to look like i got it from a URL shortening site lol..

Im not going to be using any code because I wont have a site, its strictly for email and FB..

Is there any software out there or free service that does this?

What's wrong with shortening sites? IMHO They're handy when I need a link to be shortened

You could host your own domains and set URL aliases to redirect to your target site. i.e. http://mydomain.com/alias -> your affiliate site. Aside from that, your only option in making an affiliate link clean really is to use URL shorteners.

Either you can have them in the form of bit.ly/something(url shortener), or if you have your own domain, you can get it in the form yourdomain.com/something. If you use wordpress, just install gocodes, and then your links become yourdomain.com/recommends*/something.

*This word can be anything, I use recommends, but you can use things like go or goto or whatever.
