i just realized i have a problem, i guess this effect primary forums
i was told majority of forums have 80 char limit for urls (profile urls)

now, if i put url shorteners there, how google sees those shorteners ? does this take away "weight" of backlink ? becouse urls point to shorturl instead to my money site ? or does google dig its shortener and doesnt penaltize such link ?

If you want to link to your site & the urls are too long you can shorten them using htaccess

    do something like:

    Code:
    RewriteBase /
    RewriteRule ^shortname$ /reallylong_page_name_lotsofkeywordshere.html [NC,R]

As far as I know you shouldn't lose any juice from the links. The only problem I can see is when it's a straight link in the profile. You may lose some of the advantage of having keywords in the URL. Otherwise it's just a simple 301 redirected link and shouldn't give you any problems for the time being.

what would happen if i use WP url shortener funcion ?
    i have page like:
    myverylongdomain9q9.com/somekeywordblablabla/

if i click on get short link in WP get link like:
myverylongdomain9q9.com/?p=100 which outmaticly redirects to long url. is there any chance google will see something here on duplicate content ? link juice should remain for this scenario ?
