In the July edition of "Angela Backlinks" pdf, she went on to explain that the PR of the domain is what matters when getting backlinks.
    So for example:
You post your link on www.example/profile25 which has a PR of 0
yet the domain www.example.com has a PR of 7
you getting the juice from the PR 7.

I've also noticed that most linkbuilding software will search for the PR of the domain then post on a sub-page which has little or no PR.

So, is this accurate? All that matters is the domain PR?
    Would appreciate any insight

    Thanks

Yes the domain's PR is what mainly matters, as far as Google will look more for the domain authority rather than just the page.

When you place a link on a page with high PR, it is even better as this page will be crawled more often so the robots would check your website too and your link will be indexed quickly

Wait. What? You would rather a Domain PR 8 link on a PR0 page, over a Domain PR 5 page PR 5 link for example?

i know domain PR counts for alot, but more than page PR?

You'll get that PR where is your backlink. So if you have BL on some URL with PR0 but its domain is PR5, you will get PR0 BL to your site.

Maybe Google puts some weight to domains' PR, but more important is PR of URL, where is your BL.

If you have BL on a page with PR it is good for the PR flow and even this remains to be proven.

It is the domain that matters for SEO flow and this why :

WHen you have links from blog networks, basically you have an article on a PR 0 page which would stick in the homepage (the one with pr) for 2 weeks if the blog network isn't too crowdy.

And yet, you get a full SEO juice even though you don't have PR on the links you get.

On another hand, it works the other way. When a domain receives a penalty for an over optimized page it is applied for the whole domain. If you receive too many BL which are on unpenalized new pages from penalized websites, you may get punished too.

And finally, when you have a page with some PR more likely the domain will have a greater PR on the domain than the inner page, so it remains hard to proove that the page matter.

Seems odd the most softwares build links based on the domain PR if it's only the page that matters

I would say domain PR is the one to go for as this is the measure of authority. Actual Page PR is just a measure of Juicy goodness from high pr links linking to to the actual page.

But hey who knows? Thats SEO for you!!
