Go check your site along with a bunch of sites on yahoo site explorer if you keep track of your links...

Half my links were dropped when I checked today!! I almost went nuts and thought it was me but then I checked two competitors (same thing). I checked one of the top SEOs website, half his links gone.

WTF is going on?

Go check your sites and report back....

Yap, same here for my sites. They each dropped like 50% of the links...

Actually, I noticed the exact same may be 2 weeks ago - and then 2 or 3 days later they were all back as if nothing had happened.

So I try not to panic again :D

Hmm. I'm not seeing any difference in the number of backlinks it returns (yet.) They may just be following Google's lead finally and not giving away all of that info.

Im think he's right, all search engines lookup to google and attempt to follow the moves they make

Not much change on my sites but maybe they are trying to align their results more with the way google works.

Just relaxed to see it wasn't only my sites, that's why I love this forum for sharing stuff exactly like this - anyways, hopefully they bounce back in a couple of days.

Here might be the answer. Yahoo upgraded their site explorer:
