urgent WP expert needed - heeellllllpppppp

    I have just edited my functions.php page in the wp editor (in the admin area) and now the site and admin are down.

    How do i fix this? i can't get into the admin area?

    i need to remove the text i just added to the functions.php

    go by FTP software or filenamanger in cPanel

    You need to go through a ftp program and then look directly into your wordpress files and the so called function.php page and edit the text you changed.

    Or you can go into your backend hosting account and edit your files from there.

    so the text i added was placed in the functions.php file and not in the database?

    Can anyone tell me the folder that i will find functions.php in?

    Go to file manager, wp-includes - functins.php

    Replace the function.php by a genuine one of your current version.

    I hope you are not using wordpress.com based blog.

    Cause that would lead to a bad outcome ;)

    Home Page:
    It will be "wp-content" -> "themes" -> "your theme folder" -> functions.php

    Just replace the original functions.php and it will work as before
