    Hi,

I am using the robots.txt file for my site. I have some private folders which are not be indexed, so for this i can keep this folder name also in the file.

    Like Disallow:/privatefolder/

There is chance of going directly to my private folder by some unknow users by tracing the robots.txt.

    Another Query:

And also one of my thank you page having a direct download link of ebook what im selling.

The link should work only when the buyer from the site and it should not work when he copy and paste in web browser directly..

All are html pages, is there code to change the permissions for the hosting files.

Can anyone suggest some proper solution for two queries, it would be very helpful for me...

    Thanks in advance...

Depending on the payment processor you are using you could do a couple things.

For instance you could integrate paypal IPN to generate a username and password that will allow only authenticated users to access your backend.

Or you could also set up a script to email the user the download, only on confirmation of payment. With Mysql and PHP you can set this up so the link will expire after X amount of time as well.

Or if you don't have the technical resources to program something like this yourself you could use e-junkie for your payment processing, and they will generate links that expire after a time frame that you specify.

Thank you for the resources..actually im planning to use clickbank market place..

Actually we will use some folders to keep the downloadable files, so we have to keep them unindexed in google so we have to include in robots.txt

But there is chance of going directly to these folders from robots.txt, how to stop the users from accessing these folders directly?
