    Hi guys

I know this is *a little* off topic but Im using my iPod touch (4g) for marketing these few weeks (away from home) and my iPod *all of a sudden* won't charge via a USB wall charger. I have 2 wall chargers (both not from apple) 1 worked for like 2 weeks then 1 day stopped working then the second one worked for a few weeks and TONIGHT stopped. I googled and tried all the tips etc but nothing worked has nothing to do with charger because after iPod touch shuts down bec no battery left it charges till the apple logo shows up works for 10 minutes (but disentangle charge..) shuts down again then I charge it for 3 minutes etc etc etc I tried deleting ?com.apple.powerlog.plist with ifile (not through ssh) but same problem....

Pls advise this is very urgent

    Thanks

I am going take a guess and say it is jailbroken? If that is the case it needs to be connected to itunes and restore your phone

    I think it's a software issue - apple disabled 3rd party chargers

Not true about Apple disabling 3rd party charges. They're just not "supported". Same with accessories.

I work for iTunes but we're trained for almost everything Apple. This sounds to be possibly the cord? Try the following and let me know what happens.

    1. Use a different cord when charging if possible.
    2. Try charging from your computer via USB
    3. Have you tried another Apple iDevice (iPod/iPad/iPhone) (even a friends) on the charger?
    4. Back everything up in iTunes and try a restore and see if it still happens (as agag2 mentioned it may be a iOS software issue).

Let me know what your results are :)

    Hi
    Thanks for a great reply
Well I know it can't be the charger because as I said when the iPod touch goes "dead" (no power left) I use the charger and the iPod boots up and works for a few minutes also when the iPod is turned off after plugged unit charges but it won't charge while turned on (that's why I think it's a software issue..)

Anyway thanks for your reply anyone has any ideas pls comment
