    Hi

sorry if this is the dumbest question you heard but...

I see that it shows in domain registarars etc that it takes 48 hours for nameserver to appear ?

So my question is that is there a faster way ?I mean cant site be setup right away or I have to always wait for two days ???

    Regards

If you are setting up the domain for the first time, there is no way to speed up propagation. 48 hours is just a general time frame though, it could be quicker and in my experience it often is.

Usually you have to wait that long, tough. Mostly you will get a temporary IP address where your webspace is available right away but for the DNS entry you mostly have to wait 1 or 2 days.

    It can go very fast!!

    10 minutes ago I:

1.) got a new domain name

2.) got a new hosting account

3.) set the DNS for the new domain to the IP of the new server

Now I'm looking at the blank page with the CGI-BIN on my new domain.

Want to install some stuff tomorrow so I thought I'd set it up in advance to get started right away when I wake up.

But here it is...ready to roll....in just under 10 minutes.

I live in the US, "Most" of the time it goes pretty fast, say 15 - 20 minutes. Sometimes it will find the site erratically, for the 1st couple of hours, but usually, its been pretty fast for me....
