[Urgent]Anyone a PC expert ? I am thinking to host my own videos now in server

Hi guys,

anyone is pc expert ? Currently i am using openload as video host, but now i am going to upload videos diretly into my own server, its a dedicated one, but i dont know if my storage is unlimited or something, i tried upload two videos at 480p, and it loads quite good when i play it, not sure if it would lag if i add more videos ? :O

This is my server status and specs. it says disk usage :

does this mean i can upload 50000 videos without any issues and the loading speed would still be same ?

Should be good do note that "UNLIMITED" doesn't really mean unlimited space. You can clearly see you are limited to 2x2TB of HDD space (but that is plenty to be honest).

Current openload file hosting, but now we uploading more than 12gb files combined together daily now. how long can my server last if i upload 12gb videos per day for next 3 months ?

Keep it at "SoftRaid 2x2TB". 2x mean two drives, so your server have 2 HDDs, each with 2TB, total 4TB. 1TB=1000GB, so you have 4000GB of storage on your server.

If i upload the videos to my other website instead of my own website but will use the video link on my website from other website, will that reduce the lag or something on my main website? All my websites under one server. what would be your advice

Yes it would take the load off. Host the videos here and link them to ur website.i would also make backups. Of both sites. On a differnt server if your hosting dcma content. Whos ur hosting provider? Do they allow adult content? Since its a dedi serv. Were u allowed to configure your own ssh and sftp protocols?

If you plan to host two websites (one where you will have the videos and one where you will add the links from first website) but host both of them on a single server it will be the same thing as hosting just one website and videos on it, videos are static files, not dynamically like php webpages. The only difference is by hosting the videos on openload and by hosting them on your own server. It really depends on what kind of lag you have on your website. If by lag you mean that the pages does not load so fast, than it may be more convenient to host them on openload. If by lag you mean video lag (like pages load fast but videos load slow) then it will be faster if you host the videos on your on website. There could also be a chance that openload ads and script is slowing your website, best way to find out is to make two different pages with the same video, but on one page the video should be from openload and on the other page it should be on your own server, then open both pages and see what page is faster.

My server is from ovh. but i think they ignore dmca

I would rather use a VPS rather than a Dedicated plan, since the VPN is dynamic and you can scale upwards as demand requires

are you able to see while kinda of load the server is taking during peak times?
