Upload PDF to doc sharing sites where .pdf can't be viewed? Any benefits in SEO?

    I've been wondering whether there's any reason to upload .pdf's to websites such as.. filefactory, where they only allow you to download the file and not see the pdf live, like mediafire, scribd.

    I can't see a googlebot downloading this file just to see it's content, which means these sites where they can't see the PDF live is useless or am I wrong?

    I think it's useless cause the URL of the file is what Google bot index not what's inside the PDF!

    Google can read doc, pdf. if google download and crawl the doc and list them on SERP for the relevant keyword why not it can't do the same for PDF.

    If your content is good, unique and uploaded high PR sites then it will shows on Google images.
    Some of my PDF file shown on Google.
