I've heard some information about gigabit rdp, but not many since many people dont seem to be using it. I currently have a 100Mbps ethernet port on my desktop computer, and a 58Mbps wifi on my laptop. On my next desktop and laptop I'm going to be getting 1Gbps ethernet ports, and connect my laptop to the router with ethernet when I want to rdp to my desktop.

Should I notice a huge difference when working on my desktop though rdp, or is it minor and not worth it over 1Gbps ethernet for desktop and 802.1n on a laptop?
