HI, i have a relatively new site that is doing pretty well on the serps, but i am planning to change the whole theme to make it look better with a premium wordpress theme bought, now the thing is that some of the inner pages urls will need to be changed, i uploaded a 301 plugin that will 301 redirect old urls to the new ones, but the question is....all this can hurt my rankings? ...at the end of the day im doing it mainly for the user, as the new theme is more clear, and helpful..

hope someone can help here in the community.

    thanks

You would only loose the PR of inner pages with this not your site rankings, if you did correct 301 redirect and not the ranking. Also do check Google webmaster tool after a few days of setting up 301 redirects. If there are any errors, GWT will report that, and you should correct them with further 301 redirects if needed.

I had a WP site (I would say it was doing well in SERPs as my site shows up with inner pages sitemap [don't know what you called that] in search results). So, I just changed the permalink of my site and added some special structure to the permalinks for SEO purpose. So at the end of 3 days all my links were updated in google search. Also no sink in traffic. Yes PR of inner pages was lost, but who gives a shit to PR unless you are selling high PR blogroll links
