Hi everyone, I got a question which confused me these days.

I updated my website about 1 month ago, some old pages I have deleted (or hidden, I don't remember so clearly because I am not the one who did it).

Yesterday I site my website on google and found that some old pages are still appearing on the search result. When I clicked it, it turn to the home page and the ridiculous thing is the home page the old links are going to is incomplete.

What should expect go to webmaster to tell google to delete these old urls?

Sorry for my poor English and wait for your help.

Use the Google Fetch feature to request a re-indexing :)

Did you submit a new sitemap in Google search console? That may fix the issue. Also maybe the person who did this for you failed to implement proper redirects. You should check with them if you can get back in touch with them. That's the first thing I would do.

    Home Page:
so as long as those pages respond to googlebot with a proper 404 missing page response, google will eventually remove them from the search results.
