I'm a newb when it comes to running an online store. I have been in the adult industry for years, had a store, now I'm moving on to the internet. I have been having a hard time getting traffic to the site, so I started researching and this is what I found. Is this really getting people to your site? Or is it a scam? Let me know what you think...

I'm new here so it doesn't allow me to post links.. The guy I'm talking about on Fiverr goes by the name of eddycloyd.. So if you type in fiverr forward slash eddycloyd, it will take you to his page, and it's the first video.

Thanks!!

The traffic won't buy a think, because it is just generated artificially. It is not real people.

Well 80-100 REAL UV a day for 1 month and hes only charging $5 sounds to good to be true but he does have A TON of good reviews so he might be legit.

I would buy the gig because its only $5 and if its real traffic then you will profit.

But it most likely wont be real traffic :D

If you have a store and want to move it online your best bet is to advertise in your store, through local classified sites, and local SEO. One of the benefits of your niche is that people often like privacy when ordering adult stuff. In which case you can use that to your advantage.

i think it's just fake traffic but who knows , give him a try it's just 5$ after all and if he doesn't deliver what he is claiming give him a negative review :p

It might be real traffic, but it doesn't matter unless the traffic is targeted to whatever your site offers. You can get thousands of views, but it's pointless unless they are able to be monetized. It'd be better to seek ways that attract targeted and relevant viewers.

yeah like W130SN said it won't convert because the visitors are random and not interested :/

Nice self-promoting. :)

Haha Definitely not self promoting.. Just trying to find out if this guy is legit. My website is Toyz-R-UsDotNet

Now that was self promoting. Haha

And thanks for the fast feedback.. I agree that it's only 5 bucks, he's got a ton of good reviews, so I'm gonna try it out. I'll share my experience when I see results.

Actually man that was not self-promotion that was a pretty big mistake because
you never post your actual domain on an indexed marketing forum and the number two
is the fact it is so close to breaking copyright protection you might get a C&D letter.

So I would remove it :)

"Close" is for horseshoes and hand grenades.. Nobody is going to send me a C&D... I posted my link as a joke because someone thought I was self promoting my fiverr.. LoL Why so serious... Have a beer and relax!

Seriously? You are promoting Sex toys. How long until a parent makes a typo and then makes a complaint.

EDIT: You can't afford to pay for targeted traffic but your pockets are deep enough to take on that company?

You will without a doubt get contacted from a toys r us lawyer at some point with that domain. You're gonna be better off buying a domain and getting a website thats not liable to get shutdown randomly!

Depends where he's based.

Some places couldn't care a less about copyright rules.
Live in Uganda, host in Khazakstan? - When the copyright brigade tell you that you are close to an infringement? Tell them to Eff off and see what they can do
Live in USA or most of Europe? Then yeah, you might well run into problems at some point.

Scritty

Well, for one, I have built this company myself from the ground up at a brick and mortar store. I have since gotten rid of that property to venture into the web. I wanna distribute world wide instead of just locally...

Secondly, nobody said I don't have funds to pay for traffic, but with all the money in the world, I still wouldn't know how to use it..

Lastly, If a parent misspells toys, then puts dashes, THEN puts Ne t instead of Co m, well then he/she should only be mad at themselves... It's a huge difference between the 2 sites.

I don't mean to sound like a jerk right now, but I just came on here for some advice, I have no intentions of arguing.

Have a good day!
