Here you go guys just type in this text in your favourite search engine , create an account put your link in your profile and you have some serious link juice for your sites

Code:
site:edu inurl:login (Create an account)

Another version of finding .edu links. Thanks will definately use this.

Are you finding many that you can create an account with and actually post something on a page that is accessible ? I checked 15 or 20 and they all require some sort of student or faculty credentials.

Hi Buzzkill then try this one then this should make it a little easier for you as you are having a few problems

Code:
site:edu "powered by vbulletin"

I've seen many similar threads to this, but have some Qs that our more experienced may know the answer to.

1.) How do you modify the query submitted by the users in thread to make sure that they are actually "dofollows"

2.) In your experience, should you be posting on a forum/blog/whatever somewhat relevant to your site or does it not matter?

Good question! I like to know that also.

Mostly the forums are ********...
If you are not sure they are do follow or not, use this tool to check if they are do follow or not..

Code:
http://www.quirk.biz/searchstatus/

Please make sure you dont spam the thread.. Just with registration is enough and put your website URL while registering on the site.

With only one .edu link is good enough because THEY ARE AUTHORITY SITE...

So, after you register on one site, move on to the other site.. Dont bother replying to the thread..

Cheers
Maddy

I guess you're saying that the profile pages get indexed, just put your backlink in your sig? Thus no reason to need to post in an actual thread. Correct?

We have website option while doing the registration..So, it will show up on the profile..

Yes..That is it..You simply get your profile index by "digg"ing that page..

Read Another thread of antx16 wrote about how to index faster in search engine,,

:)

I've been doing this for a while now, and it works good. Some of my sites are ranked within the top 3 spots for some very competitave keywords

great post thanks, i specially like the invision powered forums they seem to be the easiest to register

sorry about gay url, not enough posts for me

great share.. thanks.. profile page got indexed by search engine.. but if we do some post in their forum, I think it's even better.. try to post on popular thread.. it will increase the link juice to our site.. but do not spam or else your account will be deleted.. :)

it should work...if they allow it.

that smiley trick that was posted a while back should work

This is a cool little trick. Need to find some methods to make this better. I noticed a lot of these board seems dead so we may need to help them out and submit the profile pages to get a little more juice.
