I was thinking about it the other day, how about I, or one of the more trusted members of this community setup a website that makes money through SEO. For example, we setup a blog XYZ.com and it would make money by ranking for keywords such as "how to start a blog" or any other niche for that matter. We post it here, people can pitch in with backlinks and content. At the end of the month, the proceeds from the said project can go towards any charity that will be selected by all those who contributed to the project. Advantages: 1. It doesn't take too much time to set this up, as all the work is crowd sourced. I am pretty sure if we can keep things transparent there will be a lot of folks on this forum who will pitch in. Every article, backlink counts. It might also a be a very good case study for noobs on how to make money through SEO. 2. It is not very taxing on the individual contributors either. Considerations: 1. The whole thing has to be very very transparent and trustworthy. I don't post much here, so it would be better if one of the more trusted members could team up and make sure there is no scam going on. 2. The choice of charity, like the website, will be crow sourced and selected on the basis of a simple poll. It's just an idea. What do you guys think? Your critique is welcome.
