I know its good to have unique content for you site but i always saw mixed reviews about having unique content for mass article submissions.

So does it matter for article directories? I know its still a back link but just wasnt sure if it actually matters the uniqueness of it.

I'd like to know others thoughts on this as well. To paraphrase the OP,

Do articles need to be unique for submission to article directories?

from what i've seen yes... the bots notice after a while if there are certain repetitions in the text... better to spin them if only just a little...

And the penalties are of 1PR max that I have seen and not much position wise... the sites are also more unstable..

And take it with a grain of salt cause it's all relevant to your keywords....

I've been doing article marketing since may 2006 and I have learned this:

Uniqueness is a major factor in getting article views, making sales, and getting backlinks.

If you are going to the trouble of writing an article for backlinks, why not monetize it and push traffic to your money site? Why settle for just backlinking?

You can take a PLR article and spin it. You can hire someone to write an article and spin it. There are lots of way to create unique versions of a single article. Each article should be written around one highly searched but low competition keyword phrase and focus on one main point.

That said, remember this: The original article should be posted to your website/blog first so you avoid any chance of duplicate penalty. Then, in a day or two later, post your spun versions to the article directories.

Search this forum and you'll find tons of tutorials and software for free that will help you succeed.

    Hope this helps.
