Channel 10 has released the date that Underground: The Julian Assange Story will be shown (7th October, 2012). I've been looking forward to this for a whole. It should be an interesting watch and it will also be interesting which side the movies takes. Either way could be very controversial.

Who else will be watching and have an opinion on what position they will take.

Guys good subject but remember do NOT put a POLITICAL angle on the posts as the BHW rules are NO POLITICS!

I say this as I opened a thread on this guy and it was taken down!

My belief is that there is so much to this story about the Internet alone and much more...

This isn't a political thread or about Julian Assange, its about the movie on channel ten.

You obviously know so much more than I do or the director of the movie knows!

IT IS a story full of complexity and trauma, and largely unknown to a wider audience who view its subject as merely a publisher of classified military intelligence. Yet the teenage years of Julian Assange - now the subject of a gripping film - will again stir vigorous debate.

Underground, the latest political thriller from writer-director Robert Connolly - which had its world premiere at the Toronto International Film Festival on Saturday night - homes in on Assange's troubled upbringing, in an effort to make sense of his present predicament. The embattled WikiLeaks founder, currently holed up behind the walls of the Ecuadorian embassy in London, remains fearful of being extradited to the US for publishing the leaks.

Movie about Julian Assange on TV? Pass... I'm sure that there's a Walking Dead rerun on somewhere during that time.

I'm looking forward to this one a LOT!! Lets just hope it's not some crappy movie filled with lies but from the looks of the trailer it seems a pretty good movie.

Finally!! Someone else looking forward too it. I really hope its really factual as well but I think the general public will realise if it was filled with lied.

Remember that show 'McDonalds get grilled'? I think most of the public realised that was pretty bullshit after about 5 minutes of screening.

I made one minor comment and got a week's vacation, (which, btw to whoever did it, was a bit over-the-top) as a result. So anyone thinking about posting in this thread should be weighing that desire against how badly they want to be an active Member on this forum, cause they seem to have a bit of a hair-trigger on this issue. This is a dangerous thread to be posting in.
