I swear Google hates one of my sites. I'm on my 12th...Yes 12th...reconsideration request for a site.

We're past the scraper sites that were linking to me. We're past a few obscure directory links from China that somehow were linking to me.

What now?

NoF0llow links apparently are being counted as a source for my penalty. They came back with links from a tumblr blog I have that was linking to my site. What pisses me off is around 6 months ago I converted all of the links to nof0llow.

Well that didn't stop Google from saying that it violates their guidelines. Never mind that Matt said we should do exactly that. Apparently, people working there doing reviews don't even follow what Mr. Google says.

Seriously though, I've run out of links to delete and disavow.

How the hell is someone supposed to do anymore when there's no list of links to go off of anymore?

Sorry your post does not make sense. You say you run out of links to disavow but say there are nofollow links that are counting against you??

So simply just disavow everything and start again (assuming this is a brand site) or you shold ave just scraped the site and started new already!

We all know it easier to rank a new site than recover old.

What I'm saying is I have no more links that I can find to disavow. I've disavowed or deleted every link I could find minus a couple of web 2.0s that I changed the links to nofollow. And I have started a new site but I'm still trying to get this one fixed. They keep finding obscure links that I can't find and now they're counting nofollow as part of the penalty too.

My issue is Google says to use nofollow on links that is considered untrusted content, paid links, or crawl prioritization.

Here's a quote:

"Nofollow" provides a way for webmasters to tell search engines "Don't follow links on this page" or "Don't follow this specific link."

In other words they don't count. So why is it counting for a penalty when they say it doesn't count?

Some say that Nofollow links are good and tell other ppl to spam with nofollow link on websites with high PR like adobe.com or filezilla.com.
maybe there is a connection.
