Is anyone else using this WP plugin?

If so, I have a question. I'm a little concerned about something in the pinging logs for this plugin.

I'm uploading a ton of future dated content to my blogs via Caffeinated Content. My concern is that when I run C.C., if I go and look at the ping logs for the Pinger Plugin it appears to be pinging all at once (i.e. if I pull 30 posts dated for the next 30 days in the future it appears to be pinging about each post right then and there - rather than over time as the content is posted).

I'm not sure this is what's actually happening (ton of pinging at once). But the ping logs seem to suggest it. Anyone know for sure?

It asks me to register the plugin in order to activate it. Do they care about autobloggers like us? If so, I'll use a different email account for each of my blogs, otherwise I won't bother.

Using the same akismet code for each of my autoblogs got me banned (I assume by IP) from posting comments on any wordpress blogs. I'd like to avoid leaving further footprints if i can. However, I'm not sure if MaxBlogPress is more of a "blackhat friendly" site or a "white hat friendly" site.

I have no doubt that many "free" tools/plugins are in kahoots with SE's & blog directories to help moderate the spam. I just never know which ones....

MBP won't let me register the plugin after I did it once.

WTF is going on here? I'm sure the only people that even use this plugin are the type who use it on tons and tons of autoblogs!

This is the message that I see when I go to WP Settings and attempt to register the plugin:

It looks like the standard Aweber "we already have your email address in this subscriber's list" message. However, I'm using a unique email address each time. I still get the same message.

I do not use c-content...so I am wondering IF it does not get along with MaxBP's ping optimizer? after all they both are modifying how WPress posts operate .

the way some plugs attach to wordpress causes other plugs to malfunction or not even function. it may be that these 2 are not going to work together.

try deactivating C-C, and then seeing if the ping-optimizer can complete the registration process...THEN re-activate C-C and see if things work correctly.

Just drop ping optimizer, it really is a waste of space. There's millions of blogs running just fine without their "Pings Optimized".

Yeah, I really have no proof that pinging helps. I just figured it couldn't possibly hurt either (unless of course you ping too often).

I can't help but wonder if Google has a sort of "informal" partnership with sites like ping-o-matic that says "hey, let us know when someone pings you too often - odds are that they're up to no good and it will help us identify who not to bother indexing."

Rhino - I'll try deactivating CC to see if anything changes.
