Signing up to a particular service here in the UK requires that the company in question call you on a land line in order to go through a few questions.
Let's say I had done it for myself, and was now helping someone else do it.
I could for instance use the same number - risky, just in case they checked records for any reason or the system flagged that up.
I do actually have a second phone line that I could (and probably will) use, which is a different number to my own.
However - are there other solutions? Can you get VOIP services in the UK that will look like a land line phone number with an area code relating to the said area?
