The fight was very disappointing. Silva, as always, was very cocky but the way the fight went, I am quite sure Weidman did not find his winning as fulfilling as it should be. My colleagues even think Silva did it on purpose for whatever reason he may have.

maybe he threw but honestly I doubt it...they always pay the loser too. and Silva is still considered the best, you think his ego would allow him to throw a fight for a couple extra million ? why would he do that..I think he got cocky and it bit him in the ass hard

Definitely a dive. That punch had nothing on it. Should be an announcement of a rematch soon. Double the money for the same match up. I've beginning to think all professional sports are rigged. The Heat's comeback in game 6 with 20 seconds left? Seriously??? Now this???

LOL you people who keep saying Silva took a dive are silly...

He almost got KOed in the first Sonnen fight. Silva is 38 years old. Was punched right on the chin. He always fights with his hands down. Nothing was different. He got cocky just like in every fight and got caught.

He was hit on the chin. Did you not see his reaction when he was punched? If he can act that well he should become an actor. A weak punch to the chin in the right spot would knock anyone out. People have been KOed by weak jabs. Silva KOed Griffin with a jab and nearly Okami

There have been bigger comebacks than that Heat Game 7. People just seem to dislike Lebron/Heat and become sour when they win.

There's a difference between seeing a team (Heat) perform and have a nasty comeback to make it to game 7 and then win the championship and a guy in a UFC fight running around taunting his opponent looking drunk and then getting knocked out. The fight very well could have been rigged, so that there is a rematch which will bring in a lot of money, in UFC/Boxing you can rig a fight easily, basketball and other team sports, it's just not that easy.

Everyone knows Joey Crawford is on the Heat payroll. Two completely "missed" fouls against the Spurs in that last 20 seconds? If the Spurs won game 6 the NBA loses 50 million dollars without a game 7.

The best part of the whole series was the look on the Heat players faces in Game 6 at the 30 second mark. Priceless!

Anyhow, the owners and players got their money and the Heat got their championship. I don't hate the Heat, I hate the part they're decided before they're played. College ball is so much better to watch where both teams "want" to win and the Reps only miss calls because they're truly mistakes. Professional sports can't say the same. A tap to a player on one end gets a whistle and a literal beat down on the other end doesn't get a call. It happens all the time now in the NBA.

That wasn't a dive. He got tagged because he didn't respect the fight. It was a complete joke and Silva did a good job making a fool of himself.

He who laughs last, laughs longest.
I don't watch UFC, but watched this because of a friend and I just laughed hard when he got knocked out.

He was acting like a fool and he got KO'ed because of it.

OMG LOL at you guys saying he dove!

The only people who are saying he took a dive are the ones who know absolutely nothing about MMA, or are such die hard Silva fan boys they can't handle the fact their hero is not some invincible warrior god, but just a man who is finally showing the signs of his age.

He payed the price for his very cocky/reckless style against a younger fighter who has long ass arms himself as well as decent power in his hands. He was unable to roll with the punch like normal and got totally blasted... eyes all rolled back and out cold before his head even bounced off the canvas. That's not taking a dive lol, that's getting KTFO!

I have loved watching AS for the past 6 years or so, but he totally deserved what happened to him last night.

There's no way he took a dive. He was being a cocky ass and got caught. Anyone that fights for sport knows that virtually any punch that lands correctly can knock you down, he wasnt blocking and took the full force of the punch. If it was a non title fight or something maybe throwing the fight would be feasible but not a title holder. If you're cocky enough it will eventually catch up with you. Its arguable but if it went to decision weidman probably would have had the fight either way, if silva was gonna throw it they would've made it be closer in points.

edit: hehe sorry guys didn't notice this thread was over a week old.
