I guess we're going to be air dropping these into Iran right around election time?
Yup, right before. Although they probably don't make the contractors enough so maybe not.
look more like pet dogs than terminators. i'd hate to have a platoon of these things walking around my neighborhood.
Looks like a bull (animal). Powerful and scary. There were some looking as dogs before on youtube, only long-legged.
Cool, I want one.
Is there any open source projects that are similar?
Is this an improved version of Big Dog?
Should be sending these things to other planets and the extreme deep sea, not the battlefield.
This bull sh*t is so strong. But that dog jumping is really nightmarish. How long before the terminators?
and here's a retarded parody version...
Ha Ha Funny no funny! ((o))__((o))
Pretty damn cool!
Tax dollars. Sub standard education and healthcare and control them with mechanical animals.
If it ain't the Google zoo it's the weaponized one. :crutch:
#1 for 2012 is MIT with $42,000/year
#2 for 2012 is Cambridge with $14,000/year
The U.S. has some of the best colleges in the world, but they aren't the best value in the world.
Big Dog in action, for those who've never seen it (2006!)
This is also mindblowing enough (though it only really looks cool and walks and talks a little, doesn't seem like it could handle military applications)
Robosapien to the 25th POWER!
That's a guy in a suit.
Yes, I didn't know this until I read the comments on the video. It's still pretty cool though!
Here is more from Boston Dynamics. A friend of mine showed this to me at a party on his iPhone and it blew my mind that the Big dog videos were actually a few years old.
wow....this is the future of war right here
Does anyone have any estimates on what it would cost to build your own bigdog?
A 15HP engine will cost about $400
I haven't been able to find a pc104 with at least a pentium 4 for sale, but you could possibly replace it with a more modern and badass mini-itx from logic supply for around $1,000 with the following specs
So far its already $1400 and thats just for the engine an pc.
So This is where my US tax dollars go too?
Ever get the feeling they aren't showing us the really advanced stuff? Wouldn't that be classified??
More advanced than this?!
