Just wanted to know who lives in Austria and how does your money market system compare to the U.S. I have a few friends tell me on multiple occasions that they would rather move to Austria before paying the U.S. absurd taxes.

Even though I'm not from Austria just take rate wise I would not see why Austria is really cheaper if you do it right. In the us you can even get a refund higher than the taxes you paid in ... Quality of life might be another aspect. I mean the open insurance exchange Is something other countries do have as a mandatory standard etc. . But in general you just have to live in a country yourself to see if it works for you. Different parts of the country can be a day and night difference already. Go on vacation and check it out. Lots of nice places in the world

Austria is nice but is just a little country. Viena is one of the most incredible cities you can visit..it still has an imperial look. But appart from that I would not go there. To work I would recommend you one of the first line countries in Europe..but it depends on your work though

Compared with US and China yes its little even though it compares well to Europe. GDP is $400 billion compared to California at $1.7 Trillion.

Austria by some international countries is not much bigger than a 'postage stamp' with a very small total population of 8.462 million circa 2012...

It is very beautiful and picturesque but for expats who want to live there - it is very quiet and somewhat reserved, certainly not my choice, too cold as well...

Basically what I wanted to know was how the money market systems differed from us ones.
