Probably isn't the right place to put this so mods move if needs be...

But can someone recommend me a small biz account for the U.K.? Switching over from Natwest but not really sure who to go with...

Not bothered about annual fee, just don't want service/transaction fees.

    Any recommendations?

RBS do a year free business banking. But after that they have transaction fees I believe.
    Not sure of any others.

Most banks have a "start-up" type offer, so I may just register a new company and do that.

I don't use them personally but I believe santander do an account with a monthly fee which covers all standard transactions.

Not sure if they're any good though.

We use Santander. No fees for the first year if it's a new company and 7.50 GBP monthly after the first year. Not too bad I guess.

Most high street banks are largely the same to be honest.

But the majority offer good deals for the first year, so if you don't mind switching often, you can literally go from bank to bank each year and pay pretty much no fees. Personally, I can't be bothered with it so I've stuck with HSBC and Lloyd's (and their exorbitant fees and non-existent service), but a few people I know are doing just that and are happy about it.

Alternatively, have you checked out Tide? I just came across them a few weeks ago and signed up from under my new ltd to give them a go. So no actual experience yet but the concept seems cool, and something that's proven itself in the personal banking realm, so it was about time it would hit business banking as well.

Oh doesn't matter then. I use a bank but it is only based in London and surrounding areas. More than happy with it. Dealing with other banks in the UK, I was only dealt with by absolute fucking morons, to the likes of "my company is online based" to be responded with "Oh so you sell stuff on eBay" in some dumb cunt arrogant tone of voice.

Yeah. They seemed a lot more clued up than the dick heads round the North West. Some of the conversations I've had with dumb cunts in banks.

We've banked with Santander for several years and we don't pay anything.
