I was wondering what people have experienced when using typos with doorway pages? I know in typical scenarios using typos can be frowned upon, however I have frequently used typos in domain names camping which is what gave me the idea.

Basically I have a keyword list with 328 keywords targeting a niche. Not bad, but I'd like to expand that a bit. Ran it through the typo generator and takes the total keyword list to 140,000 and change.

Now I'm thinking obviously this is overkill for a single site, but what about divinding it among several 3-10k sites? Including the core list of 328 plus a percentage of the typos?

Anyone had experience or feedback on this? If so would greatly appreciate a PM! :)

Why dont you use that method of registering domains and returning them in the 4 day window, register 1000 domains at a time, find the ones which generate traffic and return the rest, rinse and repeat. Basically it costs 25 cents a domain after you return them, but I heard that you can get the 25 cents back if you are some sort of member with them.

I'm actually just curious about using typos in doorway page generation. As I said I've been doing typos for a long time anyway.

What your talking about is domain kiting. You used to be able to get away with murder doing that, even someone with a less then stellar budget could run a line of credit, go on a typo buying spree then park them for a few days and see if there were any bites. Keep none, some or whatever and send it back for refund and risk free profit.

The fee isin't so bad, but my understanding is that thanks to Parsons over at assdaddy and other registrars pressuring ICANN they are making it more difficult to do this. I believe the new rule is that registrars can no longer return more then 10% of any registrations they make within a given month. That means theres room for incidental registrations but domain kiting is going to get extremely expensive. I think that goes mandator this coming March or May.

ah interesting, so this might be able to be done once or twice with an account, on a registar who is selling at least 10X the domains that you return?

Right, which basically means the club is going to get smaller and more exclusive to those who have the top connections at the registrars who can ensure both your ass and theirs is covered. Just like most things, it'll come down to not what you know but who you know.

You "can" still return domains with Blodaddy, you have to cancel them and then send an email requesting a refund to be approved. Not real sure what the limit is, i've done 10 in one hit recently but i've got 1k domains in my account. So it's probably done on a case by case basis with no defined number.

As for typos in doorways, yeah sure especially if they are cloaked because nobody is going to see them anyway as long as they pull hits.

When i make keyword/phrase lists for page generation i typicially use referral lists from other big sites i own, so there's probably a ton of mispellings in the mix.

Why not register those co.cc free domains?
