Don’t worry to much about it Facebook have just announced there new meta verified that is basically identical to Twitter.
you will be able to buy a blue tick on both Facebook and Instagram in the coming weeks.
I can see in 10 years times if you are not a verified user with id you wont be allowed to a join a social media website

But they are requiring Government ID. This is the significant difference. Not too many people are going to do that, especially for the untrusted like Meta.

less scarcity of a resource means less valuable. Making the blue tick less valuable will longterm harm the meta verified subscription as it will become less attractive and the platform

tbh the blue thick was a great idea as a move to get more money from him and of course that make the entitled people feel important, something that was unreachable now is $8 away from you, now facebook believes the same and increased the price and believe me they will buy it and specially karens to have more power, so yeah this is only for entitled people and people that will give it a real use for entertaiment or media or whatever.
