I set up twitterfeed to post some RSS feeds related to my niche onto twitter. Within hours Twitter have suspended my account saying it's been caught up in spam either by mistake or I've posted a spam link. All the feeds I've posted are from big sites and not spam. I've managed to unsuspend my account but worried it could happen again.

So what's going on? Can I trust twitterfeed? Can my account be suspended again or even banned?

Ah, that could be a problem.

ANY time you use ANY kind of automation for twitter you run the risk of getting your account banned. If you aren't signing into it and posting it yourself, it can get banned

I've been using them on my account for years, now maybe they are getting more strict with those feeds.

If a new account has an initial burst of activity that is mostly links tweeted at a high velocity, it will get suspended. My friend made a totally white hat account that was only tweeting her bookmarks + fave's, and it got shut down. She appealed and it was restored within days.

    I suggest you appeal, etc.

I assume you're just "seeding" an account to be used for marketing purposes later and are just trying to build up your tweet count. Twitterfeed lets you set max posts per day (or was it hour?) last time I checked. Just throttle down, you should be fine.

I've used it for months with no problem. It could be based on Twitter rules you are breaking. For example, if you connect a frequently updated RSS feed to a new account, the links may end up looking like spam

I logged on yesterday and the account was suspended again this time without being able to reactivate it. They said I could appeal but it was a new account and I was just testing the waters so it's not important. I thought it could be useful to build up a list of followers to market to in the future. Maybe I'll try again with a new account but have it tweet less frequently.

Why are those apps allowed but others aren't?

Also with Facebook I've started using their RSS Graffiti APP and I've got a few RSS streams feeding into that, am I at risk of them banning me if it posts too often with links? It's not spam just links to relevant content.

When you contacted twitter what did they say? They told you it was OK to use twitterfeed? I can't see what else I could have done that would result in suspension, I wasn't following many people a day (around 30).

Are you just running the RSS from your own site? I was running feeds from multiple websites, maybe that was the problem?

I don't understand your question about RSS Graffitti but it's an official FB app for posting RSS and Twitter feeds and I use it to post various RSS feeds to my FB fan page.
