Twitter question

Ok, so here's a screen of my new twitter account's stats after 1 day:

k i was gonna put an img here but can't cuz i'm new, so the stats are:

927 Following | 289 Followers | 54 Updates

My question...how is my ratio? It won't let me follow anyone else, but it doesn't give an error message, it just doesn't follow when I click follow. Weird. Wondering if it's because I need even it out better?

Also, anyone else experience success with Twitter? Tell me about it, I'd love to hear methods and programs used.

Twitter wouldn't let me follow anyone today either, until just recently. Twitter was down earlier today so I wonder if it may just be a Twitter issue?

927 Following.... is that in one day? If it is you need to slow down they will disable your account for sure...

1) follow some people every day.

2) check how many people is not following you back after a couple of days, and unfollow them

3) write down all people you unfollowed (and do not follow them ever again)

4) find new people to follow

This is the simple method I know. And as @jimbot say, don't do a lot of follows the same day

Usually there is no problem with following many people in a day, but the problem is from people that are following you manually,
if they see you have too many following but little followers they would usually prefer not to follow you.

Perhaps just something going on with the system, try to follow again later.

I use
hxxp://dossy.org/twitter/karma to unfollow people that are not following me, there are many tools like this but I prefer this one.
