Not sure if you guys know this, but it doesn't hurt to say it again, about 90% of tools that ask for your username and pass of your twitter account actually tweets on it. Not sure if you notice, but that is just crazy, I made an account tried to use these random things that supposedly help you get more followers. I have about 20 accounts, and this was the first I used to try these random programs. They probably compile all their stolen account username and passwords and chuck em up on a site that can tweet on multiple accounts, forgot the site now. To the people that know and don't care: You can lose precious followers, and more importantly more followers will mark you as spam. NOT GOOD Those that don't know: Change your PASSWORD. If you didn't know a thanks would be great
Of course if you didn't question that upon sign-up you must be new to the interwebs. But Tweetlater is fully legit. It's not for adding people, that's what Hummingbird is for, but it automates you tweets.
Some of them are pretty shady so my policy is only to give away my pw to Twitter apps using Oauth... all of them should be using Oauth now anyway... anyway there are some legit sites, the long established ones with some good reputation are fine.
there shouldn't be a problem with hummingbird... i think he is talking about the things like Tweeter Getter
No you won't be banned, because these people that have your account is not going to spam like crazy until your account gets banned, that would be counter productive However how do you know where the line is until you cross it. Basically the people that have your account, have nothing to lose and are greedy, and will keep pushing it until they go to far and your account will be banned. You also should realize that isn't your only problem. If they spam in your account for long enough and you don't realize you may not lose all your followers, but nearly all will mark you as spam and not read any of your tweets and any chance of $$$ is gone. True, but most of the software, sites, I used I found/refered from here. Yep, hummingbird is good. So far, unless some smart ass goes and makes a clone and steals mass accounts. What I don't understand is that they have so many accounts thousands, and their followers adding up to millions, but they must realize there will be heaps of over lap and there will be no harm in selling a few. Pick some nice juicy ones, 100 or so, and sell em for a quick buck. Hummingbird should be fine. Yes I am. I do not trust anything but hummingbird right now.
