It was Twitter Heaven now it's Tweeter Hell !!!!

Just when I finished creating a new program, that I expected to be the most powerful money making Twitter tool ever, they launched their lawsuits against Jayson et al.

Now I don't know what to do ...

I created a plugin that could be installed on any Wordpress blog and tweet a comment in reply to a keyword search whenever there was a new blog post or comment, or just every XXX seconds.

It did a lot more like, rotate accounts, comments, keywords and proxies + it would retweet after xxx days.

I was just setting up the subscription gateway ... when WHAM ! BLAM !

What a bummer ... 3 months graft down the tubes.

I reckon I only got 4 options now.

    1) Forget the whole thing.

    2) Use it myself to generate targeted traffic.

    3) Give the software away free, but try and work out a way to monetize it, without any track back.

    4) Sell the whole schmozzle to someone willing to risk ít. Maybe operating the biz offshore.

Any ideas on a way to monetize it, without any track back would be much appreciated.

Option 3 seems most profitable :)
On serious note, I think that you have to keep the plugin for your needs for now, and wait to see further development of situation. If you give it in public, something will be patched soon. If you sell it, somebody else will earn money and in case of trouble will tip you like a creator anyway.

Open a company somewhere in Russia, Cypres, whatever and have the money go through there. Make sure your real name isn't anywhere on the papers and have the company write you a nice "consulting fee" for admin work.

That's tough one, man. You may want to go for it anyways. Perhaps just set up an LLC to protect your own self. Other than that, I for SURE use it yourself and start reaping some benefits out of all the man hours you put into it.

    Good luck,
    Con

Why do you even have option 3 when you're trying to monetize it? LOL

Obviously, you should do option #2.

If you are the only one using it, you want be a target of a lawsuit as twitter won't know about you.

While you are using it yourself, I would wait a little bit and see what happens with the lawsuits, this will probably take some time to know, but better safe then sorry.
