Option 3 seems most profitable
On serious note, I think that you have to keep the plugin for your needs for now, and wait to see further development of situation. If you give it in public, something will be patched soon. If you sell it, somebody else will earn money and in case of trouble will tip you like a creator anyway.
Open a company somewhere in Russia, Cypres, whatever and have the money go through there. Make sure your real name isn't anywhere on the papers and have the company write you a nice "consulting fee" for admin work.
That's tough one, man. You may want to go for it anyways. Perhaps just set up an LLC to protect your own self. Other than that, I for SURE use it yourself and start reaping some benefits out of all the man hours you put into it.
Why do you even have option 3 when you're trying to monetize it? LOL
Obviously, you should do option #2.
If you are the only one using it, you want be a target of a lawsuit as twitter won't know about you.
While you are using it yourself, I would wait a little bit and see what happens with the lawsuits, this will probably take some time to know, but better safe then sorry.
Got ICQ/MSN/YM? If so, hit me up, contacts in my profile. I know how to turn this into gold.
