What type of content is best used on Twitter?

I'm seeing a lot of images that are actually linked to blogs, does anyone have any experience just uploading pics?

Dividing, biased , opinionated, highly contentious tweets. I catapulted my twitter account to 15k follows by such tweets. Now I don't feed them anymore as I don't have time for it.

if you own a meme/porn page, posting pics only may work well
really depends on your niche. see what big users in your niche are doing. and do something like that.
scrape reddit, imgur, quora, other communities talking about your niche. you'll never run out of content to post.
