Hi, I have a question about Twitter churn.

I have 2 accounts that are pretty important to me, and don't want them suspended.

    I am wondering:

    (1) If you follow 200 people, do you then need to wait 3 days to unfollow the people who didn't follow you back? And is it 3 calendar days, or is it 72 hours?

    (2) It is my understanding that you should unfollow SOME of the people who DO follow you back, just so Twitter does not flag you as someone who unfollows large chunks of people who don't follow you back.

    (3) If you have two accounts, can they follow all the same people (and have the same followers)? Ex. if you have two accounts geared to the same audience, let's say you use one account to follow 200 people. And then you go to the second account, and just quickly follow the same 200 people that the first account has just followed. And then you wait to see who becomes a follower. In theory, the 2 accounts would have the same followers and following.

    Thanks --

    1) Seems to be no exact rule
    2) That is correct.. I'd say get rid of your followers who haven't tweeted in a while before you unfollow those who aren't following you back.
    3) Yes, as long as they don't report you. Meaning you would have to keep the 2 accounts very different so it won't seem suspicious. However I don't really see the purpose of this. Unless you are planning a very mean prank on your friends... If they're assholes on the other hand.. I understand

Why though would you want to use this method? It would seem that after enough time with the right advertising you get some big followers.

QFT, unless you're an high-end Twitter employee or know Twitter very very well after trials and error, there's no exact rules. All I can advise you to do is to follow/unfollow people humanly as much as possible and doing other humanly things. (e.g; connecting Twitter with phone app)

    1) There's no real "rule" here. But 3 days would be a pretty good time to wait to unfollow accounts that don't follow you if you want to avoid a ban.

    2) I've never heard that before. I don't have any "followback" accounts anymore (got rid of them about 6 months when my parody accounts blew up), but when I did, I just used TweetAdder (back when it was good) to unfollow every account that didn't follow me back.

    3) Yep.
