Looks like they managed to find the hackers who orchestrated the Twitter hack.

looks like they are going to make a massive example of them as well.

The US teen will get hammered. I am not sure the U.K. will allow the extradition of the other teen as the US is currently in a block to allow access to a women who killed a teenager last year.

I think they’re proper fucked.
One of those rediculous 150 year prison terms for a petty 100k.

Yeah with no access to phone or internet or anything daft like that, usage will be monitored no chance of getting out early.

Compared to killing someone is around 8years at the mo in the UK...

Two words: PLEA BARGAIN

Unless the Feds have an air tight case, never underestimate the power of pleading DOWN charges

British teen will get a slap on the wrist and a job at GCHQ if he's technically competent.

His biggest risk is getting extradited to the us

Pretty much bang on.

Although, judging by the article is seems like more of con then a hack.

Used the credentials of an employee to gain access to somewhere they shouldn’t have been.

We've got such a drought of home grown offensive security talent in the UK. Doesn't help that the NCA are trying their beast to cuck teens at an early age and turn them all whitehat. I know a few runescape hackers who went on to have careers in the security services
