Twitter bios WITHOUT links?

What about this approach? Seems to me if you're trying to make accounts look non-spammy and realistic, you should have no link at all in your bio, or maybe like some generic link to a fake blog or something. Then you're more likely to appear as a real person and can later do wait and replies, @mentions etc. If you have a link in your bio that leads to a site advertising XYZ product and you send me a tweet recommending XYZ product, I think I'm going to recognize it as spammy. Just a thought...... but if I create a bunch of generic profiles with no links and target followers in my niche and then start to send out links carefully via @ mentions and wait and replies, people would be more likely to bite. What do you think? Anyone using this approach with success?
