hey. i am going to start building up a bunch of twitter accounts so i am wondering how many accounts per private proxy is safe these days? i am going to be using tweet adder and i need these accounts to last as long as possible, they are not going to be spammy accounts for CPA or anything like that. these will be used to promote my main white hat web site. i will appreciate any help. thank you.

Seems the consensus has been around 5 acct's/IP for quite a while now. I currently use that ratio and my accounts are fine.

I will suggest 3 accounts/IP to make it safe and long lasting... But don't use the accounts in a serial..

25 accounts per ip? this seems like a bit too much but i could be wrong. have any of your accounts been banned?

25 per IP is too much. It will ban all the accounts from that IP.
Twitter is more aggressive, try to focus on the quality not on the quantity.

yea, i was also thinking that 25 per ip is way too much. like i said, i am going to be focusing on quality and not quantity. these are not going to be CPA spam accounts, they are going to be normal looking white hat accounts to smoothly promote my main website. how many accounts per ip do you recommend?

I'm going to assume the OP is referring to the actual running of the accounts and NOT the creation of the accounts.

This is my take on it - there is no limit on the NUMBER of accounts being ran on an IP. However, there are IP limits.

When you use Tweet Adder it updates certain things that need to be grabbed from Twitter. Things such as current number of followers, or the number of people that account is following.

Now an IP has a limit on the amount of times it can ask Twitter for certain bits of information - what's known as a [GET] command.

If you do a search, that's also a [GET] command as you're asking Twitter to GET the results of whatever you've searched for.

Right... my thinking is that it doesn't matter how many accounts you have running on any IP at any single time - so long as they don't overall exceed the IP limit. This could be 1 account, 2 accounts or 50. It all depends on how much searching, updating etc that account is doing on that proxy.

I know if I have too many accounts on a single IP as I'll be doing more than 150 calls to Twitter in an hour and I'll get their error message. This tells me I should move an account to a proxy which has more room.

Ran 43 on the same proxy once for months... no issue. So the 3-5 theory is wrong

wow, really? 43 accounts on one private proxy? have any of your accounts ever been banned? that seems insane but you do have the experience and thats what matters. to clarify my OP, i will be manually creating my accounts with these private proxies, and then running the accounts in tweet adder with the same private ip's that the accounts were created with. 5 accounts per ip seems good to me right now but i will appreciate any more help from you guys :)

I find that you run the risk of all the accounts on that IP getting ban if one of the accounts is detected, so if you are doing something that is unlikely to result in the account getting ban you can load up more accounts per an IP. If the accounts are likely to get ban you should spread them out more.
