Twitter Acc Lock - Asking for Phone Verify to Unlock

Too bad they added this thing which will piss off many users.

If you have a phone number registered with your account they will ask you type the phone number. This happens whenever you clear the cookies or use a browser you haven't used before for a particular Twitter account.
If you don't have a phone number it will send an email with "Suspicious sign in detected.." and a code in your email which you have to type in twitter to be able to login.

So is it better to not PVA the accs so we can just use email for unlocking instead?

twitter blocked my 25 accounts. They are strict in these days.

With their new updated security it looks like depending on the activity of the account they could trigger for reverification even though its Phone verified already. It is defintely a set back for those who are into twitter marketing.

Actually the problem seems to be more twitter related rather than security related. The accounts i have that are having problems aren't simply resolved by logging in, verifying the email and moving on. Each time I do so, once i log out and back in again, i'm asked the same question. Remaining logged in is the only way in which each of these accounts can produce activity.

Perhaps this is a twitter issue that will be resolved rather than a targeted security plug?

Update: I wanted to check exactly what Twitter was asking for with this new lock. So I accessed the account from a browser. And it was asking for "verify your phone number". So I clicked the "Start" button under that text, and my account was unlocked. It didn't actually need me to do anything other than manually click the button. But I'm thinking that they are just testing, and probs going to roll out an actual check later. It will be one of two things. Either they will send a code to the number or they will simply ask you to enter the number. Time will tell.
lol, i haven't clicked the button, i wasn't expecting that it would solve the issue alone
was it this message?

If you expect 30-60 minutes turnaround on a new ticket I'm sorry to inform you that it is not possible. Please check your email since you should have a response on your request by now.

Having re-verification issues too. I heard FL and other software can handle reverification if I have the number associated with the account.

Any idea how they do that? or if they even do that?

Open the Twitter login page and attempt to log in. If you cannot log in with your existing password after one hour, request another one by opening the "Resend Password" page (see Resources). Type your Twitter username or email address, then click "Send." An email is sent to the email account associated with your Twitter account.

So you are saying if you press start there's nothing actually wrong with the account? It'll unlock as long as u click the start?

I went back to my accounts and pressed start and it didn't reset, it brought me to the phone code part.
