How to score with a domain on search engines.

    1) Get a .com name. At worst .net All the other ones are worthless.
Whois protect it so no one knows it's another domain associated with you.
Host it on various servers, use various registrars as much as possible.

    2) Shortest possible/available domain name, according to your project.
    watchmegoasicatchawolfinunitedstatesofamerica.com ain't good hehehehe.
Tools for this: Use the google keyword tool adwords.google.com/KeywordTool to find keywords. Save/download the keywords.
Then go to a registrar and do a bulk domain search ex: http://www.namecheap.com/domains/domain-name-search/bulk-domain-search.aspx
Just paste the keywords in there, it will then search for everything (no need to remove the spaces between the keywords or add .com .net extentions, it will do the job for you)
If you're lucky, some will be available. If not, wash, rinse, repeat, until you find something.
This is the hard part i must say but there's some still around, if you dig enough. Try micro niches by the way.

    3) Make it a blog, make it unique, add related unique content. Update it once per week.
No links to sites owned by you. Same network.
No inbound links (as weird as it seems)
Add keywords on the images you add on the site (alt tags)
Add at the top of the blog, first thing, the domain name and some keywords/text ex: letsdoitright.com domain name Would be: "Let's do it right this time folks". So this is the first thing the SE would crawl.
Don't over repeat the keywords and use synonyms.

    4) No more than 5 sites per unique Ips
Don't inter-relate the sites on the same ip.
Bad example: The 5 sites on the same IP, talks about "Let's do it right folks this time"

    5) Don't put crap on the site. Javascripts that throws errors or anything not "surfer friendly"
Don't use shady sponsors or sponsors blacklisted or in the bad database of the major anti-virus softwares

You should score on the first page after a while with your keywords and sometimes, as soon as 3 days !
