    First, I have to give credit to Pyronaut, as the content locker code used here is mostly his. You can find Pyronaut's original post where he gave away a free content locker (lightbox) here: Pyronauts CPA Gateway Code

    Keep in mind, this IS NOT a squeeze page. It is going to look like one on my live example, but it isn't. I get a $1.50 if you were to submit your email address. What's great is that it doesn't look anything even remotely like a CPA offer. It simply looks like I'm trying to protect my content from being stole by requesting "verification".

    EDIT: Geo-Targeting has just been added to this script
    , so you won't see the live example below as intended if you are browsing outside the united states. If you're outside the US, you're going to see something completely different. If you'd like to see it as intended, you're going to need to browse to my live example using a US proxy.

    EDIT: Session cookies have just been added. So it only appears once per browsing session (you have to close and reopen your browser to see it more than once).

    You can see a fully functional working example here that has the modifications I've made (listed below):
    http://www.get-stuff-free.info/iframeslicer/lindsay.htm

    I modified it in the following ways:

    • Added an adjustable "tease timer" (time before the locker appears)
    • Made it so that when locker appears it autoscrolls to center the locker regardless of where they were on the page
    • Added a scrollbar lock so when the locker is up they can't scroll away from it
    • Made it so the locker immediately disappears "onsubmit" of the email address or zip

    Now, the "locker" that appears looks like a simple enough "hey, we'll give you access if you give us your email" that was made and hosted by me. You know, like a squeeze page. But it isn't.

    If you were to enter your email and hit the "Go" button, that "locker" WILL disappear as it says it will. But, I don't get your email address...I get $1.50.

    What you're actually looking at is located here, and what you're seeing on my page is the submit area of that form "sliced" (iFramed) beneath the text of my choosing (with a matching background to make sure everything has continuity):

    Code:
    http://track.claimfreerewards.com/SplashPage.aspx?g=745cbd7e8bf243faa5358f4c860707d7&nm=01ygafe2juxn&s=&se=02
    You're going to get the code to install it, how to install it & even how to "slice" iframes. It's been tested and working in the newest versions of IE, FF & Chrome.

    Download this package before you begin (it contains the javascript code, the css stylesheet & CPA Redirector which you use in conjunction with this to fake the referrer without having to worry about "leakage". You can read about the version of CPA redirector in the package here)

    File Content_Locker.rar received on 2010.08.05 23:02:00 (UTC)
    Result: 0/41 (0%)

    Code:
    MediaFire Link -> http://www.mediafire.com/?im4dfir0x92jyzl
    RapidShare Link -> http://rapidshare.com/files/411287247/Content_Locker.rar
    MegaUpload Link -> http://www.megaupload.com/?d=P2AJBKI2

    VirusTotal Link:  http://www.virustotal.com/analisis/16853ab4db4e73aeb8f3641bff82113cdcca8c225493c5805de2e5483b96442c-1281049320

    Step 1: Go and get the CPA offer (email or zip submit) you want to "slice" into making it look like your offer. Get your affiliate link for that offer. Take note of it, as you'll need it later. Also, upload the javascript file & css file to the root folder of wherever the page you'll have the "lock" appear on is located.

    Step 2: Set up CPA Redirector as shown on this page (don't download it from that page, as the one included with the package you downloaded earlier is a newer version that doesn't leak the referrer. Also, leave out the part of the instructions on that page that tell you to add
    Code:
    [FONT=Times New Roman][B]<?php if (prc_red()) exit(); ?>[/B][/FONT]
    to the first line of your header file. Don't add that line!) You'll need the affiliate link from step one to do this.

    Step 3: Once you've got CPA redirector set up with the affiliate offer you got in step one, you should now have a NEW link that takes a user to your CPA offer landing page, but by faking/cloaking the referrer first. Something like: www.yoursite.com/free-crap?mn=1111 Take note of that link as you'll now need to use that in a later step.

    Step 4: Create your sites content. You can do this as you normally would. You don't need to do anything differently. Simply have your site setup however you want.

    Step 5: You need to "slice" out (iFrame) the submit part of the offer you're going to have them fill out. This is a bit tricky.

    Step 5.1: You need to first get the "size" of the submit area. I do this by viewing the CPA lander page and taking a screenshot. I then open up photoshop and "cutout" the part of the lander I want to iFrame. Whatever the size of that picture is, is the size of the iFrame I'll need. Note those dimensions (width & height) as you'll need them in just a second.

    Step 5.2: Now you need to iFrame the submit area itself. Now that you have the dimensions, you need to get the iFrame to load with the submit area as what it shows. To do this, get the URL you got from step 3 (your CPA redirector link) and open up your favorite HTML editor (frontpage, dreamweaver, whatever) and paste the following code into it:

    Code:
    <div style="width:[COLOR=Red]DIMENSION FROM STEP 5.1[/COLOR]px; height:[COLOR=Red]DIMENSION FROM STEP 5.1[/COLOR]px; overflow:hidden; position:relative">
    <iframe style="position:absolute; width:1280px; height:1200px; top:[COLOR=Lime]-287[/COLOR]px; left:[COLOR=Lime]-620[/COLOR]px;" src="[COLOR=Red]URL FROM STEP 3 (CPA REDIRECT LINK)[/COLOR]" scrolling=no></iframe>
    </div>
    The numbers in green will be edited by you in a second. First, "preview" what you've just done. You're going to see an iFrame that is the exact same size as the area you want to "slice" from the lander. However, you're likely not going to see the submit area and button. Thats where editing those numbers in green comes in.

    Top:-287 is the number of pixels from the top of the page and Left:-620 is the number of pixels from the left side of the page. So whatever you see in your iFrame at the VERY top left hand corner of it, is exactly 287 pixels from the top and 620 pixels from the left. You'll need to increase/decrease these numbers to get the iFrame to "slice" out the appropriate portion of the lander.

    Step 6: You're almost there! Now that you've got that all set up, you need to set up what you're "locker" is going to look like. You'll set this up the same way you would set up any page content, just plain old HTML. Paste your correct iFrame code (should have been gotten in step 5) into your favorite HTML editor and make the content above/around/below that iframe look nice. When you're finished, it should look like one "solid" thing (like my live example above), not an iFrame "sliced" from another page. Now, save the code for the whole thing.

    Step 7: Last step! You should have the page setup that you want to lock & you should have the code for the "locker". We're going to merge these two and make one complete file out of it. Add the following to the <head> tag of the target page:

    Code:
    <script src="http://ajax.microsoft.com/ajax/jquery/jquery-1.4.2.min.js" type="text/javascript"></script>
    <SCRIPT LANGUAGE="JavaScript" SRC="/gatewaysettings.js"></SCRIPT>
    <link rel="stylesheet" type="text/css" href="/gatewaystyle.css" />
    Add the following directly beneath the opening <body> tag of your site:
    Code:
    <div id="gatewayDimmer">
    </div>

    <div id="gatewaydiv">

    [COLOR=Red]The code for your finalized "locker" (should have been gotten in step 6) goes here.[/COLOR]

    </div>

    That's it! Double check to make sure everything is uploaded correctly and then visit your new page and you'll see your newly formed content locker appear!

    P.S. - If you'd like to change the amount of time it takes for the locker to appear when a visitor arrives, you can do so by opening up the javascript file you downloaded and changing the number in red to the number of seconds you'd like:

    Code:
    var AppearDelay = [COLOR=Red]5[/COLOR];//Seconds before gateway appears
    The same goes for how long it takes for the locker to disappear after they've entered their email address and hit submit using this line (leave at 0 for instant disappearance):

    Code:
    var Delay = [COLOR=Red]0[/COLOR];//Seconds after them clicking the link, the gateway vanishes.

    I'm working on adding automatic offer rotation right now. You'll be able to (ideally) plug in as many offers as you'd like and every time the page loads a random offer from that list will be loaded.

    This will prevent super high CTR's and help keep the 100% bounce rate on the second page of the offer low, as it will be spread out amongst tons of offers.

    I also forgot to mention that this installs perfectly on WP. All you have to do is edit the header.php file exactly like you'd edit an html file in the instructions above.

    Then, it will appear on every page of your blog. I'm also adding cookie tracking so that it only appears once every X times per visitor.

    I was just talking to somebody and I had them check out what it looked like for them. It appeared strangely to them and I couldn't figure out why because he was using the same browsers I was...then I just figured it out.

    Since it doesn't have geo-targeting built into it, it won't always appear the correct way to everybody, since the CPA ad used in the example is only for the US.

    Just in case anybody was wondering.

    Thank you crazyfix for this tutorial. I would be even better when you add the rotation to this. I do have one question also can you just use cakeslice to get your code ? not sure if that would work. thank you

    crazy, it would be great if you would approach zen and biosclan about some sort of customized integration of your gateway slicer into their product.

    Just finished adding Geo-Targeting. Right now, the only time you'll see it work the way I described is if you're browsing in the United States or you're using a US proxy.

    Otherwise, something entirely different pops up that says "you can't see our premium content". You could also choose to show nothing, or show whatever you want.

    But, it works and that's what's important.

    Damn, that's a hell of a post, and offer-rotation/geo-targeting is sweet too, btw will the AM-s ever know that I'm i-framing the offers? I understand that traffic will be faked, but still is there any way for them to find out the offers are i-framed?

    Downloaded and will test it today, thnx and rep given, you've helped so much the community with your threads:)

    EDIT: Actually, the forum doesn't let me rep you since I've done it before in your threads:eek:

    I'll give +rep to the next person who give's one here in my place.

    Trying to get him that 100'th rep! (then he'll owe me, but don't tell him) ;)

    Alright ladies and gents, (EDIT: almost last) but not least, I've added session cookies. What does that mean you ask? I'll tell you (in case you don't already know). *what I meant by almost last but not least is that I still have to add in offer rotation. After that, it'll be finished.

    Lets say you have a site that your visitors are likely to view more than one page of. Well, if you've got this script installed, every time they visit a new page they are going to end up seeing your locker every single time...and that sucks.

    Well, now, I've set it up so that the locker only appears once per browsing session. So it will appear on the first page they hit on your site, and then if they refresh the page, leave the page and come back or visit another page the locker DOESN'T reappear.

    Now, if they close out their browser and go back to your site, it DOES reappear (but again, only that one time until the next time they close and reopen their browser).

    You can see for yourself in the live example (as it is live and working).

    Once I get the offer rotation up and running, I'll update the (or open a new) thread finalizing all the minor changes (everything will still be the same, it'll likely just be downloading new .js files).
