Step 1: Watch my google webmaster tools chart: (research displays & clics )
    vVrE94T.jpg
Step 2: Compare with your own chart
    Step 3: ?????
    Step 4: Profit

I was making €50 a day with this niche :(

That's a good amount of change each month to lose. Why not remove the bad links and recover?

I have a similar chart but my traffic remained after the first drop. There hasn't been a second drop like yours so I will most likely try to recover.

At the same time, I hate using WMT. I guess I have to register now just to disavow my links? Is there anyway to disavow links w/out registering a site with WMT? (that may be a really stupid question but I had to ask)

Seems like google like to double shot me in the ass.
You can't bypass WMT if you want to disavow your bad backlinks.

However, here are some small tips for the folks who kindly replied to this topic

-I'm still making ?10 a day, by using optimized Bing advertisements. You should give it a try. Low CPC, high conversion rates as the few people that are not using google are usually way dumbier than the average people. Perhaps they installed some crappy freeware that automatically setted up bing as the homepage of their browser.

-I've known a similar drop back in early september. I was ranking on the second page, then went to the 15th page for all keywords. Then, a week or two after that, I finally entered into the first page . Now, pinguin crap sent me back to the 15th page.

-Link profile: I didn't buy anything. Handcrafted links of PR3 -> PR6 websites related to my niche, guest blogging.

Conclusion: In my opinion, the folks who lost a few places-> They were hit by pinguin algorithm update. On the other side, the guys who got a really big drop in rankings are just pending a re-evaluation of their rankings, just the way it did for me back in early september.

-> I'm not going to disavow any links, and will post any update here regarding my ranking situation.

my chart is even more steep for the http version of my site
but the https version of the site is equally steep up so over all gained more views

but i am not sure why they decided to lower the http version that much

30% of the anchors with homepage URL text, 22% with the main keyword, and then splitted in 6/7% per other keywords

You lost ranking for another reason, hand crafted guest posts aren't your issue. You've got other stuff blended in there, probably social bookmarking, directory links, forum spam. Something.

No social bookmark or whatever, I just have a legit twitter account associated with the website. No forum spam.

    SERP update :
My website gained 15 places from October 17 (127th rank due to Ebola update fall) to October 22 (112th rank) . Today (October 23) , it totally dissapeared from Google.
Conclusion-> My hypothesis was right. It's just some google dancing, and I'm expecting to retrieve my place in the 1st page within days.
If you have similar symptoms, stop disavowing like a fool all your backlinks, especially if they are good and relevant like mine.

one trick that might help you. some time this trick works great.. if your enter your domain name into google and it doesn't showing your website on first page that mean your site hit badly if it is showing on first page or second page or third page than it means you can recover your site easily.

    Oups, I forgot
Well, one of my sites 2 days ago and yesterday was dancing a lot, sometimes it was on page 4, sometimes it was on page 8. Today ... went to page 8-9 and stayed there. DAMN! And that is a 20 days old site, basically new, no spam to it, actually really clean!

The second site of mine (13 days old), on 22 october it was on page 2, on 23 october went on page 7, 24 october dancing between page 7 and 12, today it was on page 12, now I checked it, out of top 120.

What do you think about my situation, Maverikx? Do you think I have any chance of recovering from this shit? Asking this because you said this: "On the other side, the guys who got a really big drop in rankings are just pending a re-evaluation of their rankings, just the way it did for me back in early september." - that means maybe my sites will come back on the positions they had, or if google likes the backlink profile, maybe stronger?

    What's your opinion on this?

And also ... what should I do? Should I keep building links? I'm really confused right now!

    Cheers!

    Hey SalieriJazz,
When google is only re-evaluating a website's rankings and not hiting it, the google dance usually takes two weeks. Therefore, I would recommend that you wait until November 6th.
Regarding your link building, I suggest that you keep building links at the same frequency than before. It would smell very bad if one's website is suddenly stopping to receive some backlinks, as only artificial backlink builder would do so because of the fear resulting in the SERP drop. A legit ( for google ) website gets backlinks from others peers on a regular basis, and the other peers are not supposed to be influenced by your SEO rankings.

SERP Update: Back in the 5th page for a sub url but not the homepage

How's your theory working out for you? Getting slapped by Penguin isn't a Google dance no matter how you swing it.

You got hit and as others suggested its your backlink profile that caused the problems. Fix that and you will bounce back.
